Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior or Lead Cloud Engineer with a strong background in software development, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in AWS serverless technologies, container orchestration, and CI/CD automation, along with a strong foundation in modern programming languages.
YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Implement and manage containerized environments using Kubernetes, EKS, or OpenShift.
- Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or ArgoCD.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers and participate in code and architecture reviews.
- Optimize and monitor applications and infrastructure performance using modern observability tools like Datadog
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- AWS or other cloud certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Must-Have Skills (5+ years):
- Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda).
- Deep knowledge of AWS managed databases such as Amazon RDS and DynamoDB.
- Solid understanding of containerization using Kubernetes, AWS EKS/ECS, or OpenShift.
- Proven experience in CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or
Azure DevOpssimilar. - Experience with developer tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence.
Should-Have Skills (3+ years):
- AWS Networking components like Amazon API Gateway.
- AWS Storage services including Amazon S3.
- Exposure to AWS AI/ML services such as Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q, or Amazon Q Business.
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CDK.
Nice-to-Have Skills (1+ year):
- Experience with Contact Center solutions (e.g., Amazon Connect).
- Use of HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
- Kafka messaging platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka, Confluent, or Amazon MSK).
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (e.g., Azure, GCP).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, or New Relic.
- Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
- Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies like OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, or SAML.
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting
