Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Portfolio Lead to oversee and drive delivery across cross-industry development teams, including mobile solutions, digital platforms, and enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery across cross-industry portfolios, including Mobile, Web, Cloud, and API solutions
- Oversee project execution, quality, and resource allocation across multiple teams
- Ensure delivery governance, timely escalations, risk tracking, and issue resolution
- Step in proactively to mitigate delivery risks, resolve cross-functional as well as cross-cultural conflicts, and ensure alignment
- Act as a strategic advisor for client transformation and digital initiatives
- Drive presales activities including solutioning, estimations, and proposal development
- Represent delivery in client QBRs, steering committees, and roadmap planning
- Shape and scale multi-disciplinary teams across geographies and technologies
- Coach project leads and technical managers, and instil a performance-driven culture
- Define delivery strategy, operating models, and agile frameworks across projects
- Collaborate with CoE and recruitment teams to align talent with future pipeline needs
- Possess broad understanding of modern architectures, tools, and platforms (e.g., Mobile, Cloud, DevOps, Microservices)
- Review high-level solution architecture and ensure technical feasibility of proposals
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering leads to align tech direction
- Hands-on experience in developing enterprise applications with Java
- Hands-on experience in an additional programming language (TypeScript, Python, Go) and corresponding frameworks
- Understanding of Coding principles (Clean Code, SOLID, automated testing, containerised environments and CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in IT Delivery and Portfolio Management roles
- Proven experience in projects with German or European clients in a pivotal or leading or role, including regular intensive exchange and interaction with German or European stakeholders
- Hands-on experience in Enterprise Java (e.g. JEE, Spring, Quarkus)
- Hands-on experience in TypeScript (e.g. Angular, React, Vue), Python (e.g. FastAPI) or Go is a plus (optional)
- Hands-on experience in Cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps (Kubernetes, Terraform), CI/CD (e.g. Gitlab CI) is a plus
- Proven success managing cross-functional development teams across industries
- Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and modern delivery models
- Solid understanding of mobile app development, web technologies, and cloud environments
- Experience in pre-sales, solutioning, and client engagement
- Experience handling portfolios in BFSI, Retail, or Manufacturing domains
- Exposure to multi-region delivery models (onshore/offshore)
