Responsibilities:

The role involves resolving incidents, monitoring applications, and collaborating with the senior team to ensure smooth operations.
The ideal candidate will have good technical grounding in Java, Unix/Linux, and Oracle, with a willingness to learn and grow in a structured support environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2 application support for Java-based applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Java, Servlets, JDBC, PL/SQL, and Unix environments.
  • Perform log analysis, basic debugging, and issue triaging.
  • Support deployment activities under senior team guidance.
  • Monitor applications and batch processes, escalating issues as required.
  • Collaborate with the onsite/offshore teams to ensure timely issue resolution within SLAs.
  • Maintain and update documentation, issue logs, and runbooks.
  • Participate in shift-based and on-call support rotations [ 24/7]

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of Java and ability to debug application issues.
  • Understanding of Servlets, JSP, and JDBC for issue resolution.
  • Experience with Oracle 19c – SQL/PL-SQL scripting and query tuning basics.
  • Familiarity with IBM Liberty and Tomcat for app deployment and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux (RHEL) – log analysis, cron jobs, shell commands.
  • Exposure to Shell Scripting (C-shell/Bash) for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of C/C++ executables and their role in batch processing
  • Awareness of frontend debugging concepts (HTML, JavaScript).
