Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe DevOps Engineer to join our global automotive team. As part of the mainframe team, you will be responsible for implementing features for critical application environments for industry leaders in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

•   Mainframe Development & Automation: Develop, maintain, and optimize mainframe applications using PL/I, Cobol, REXX, and JCL.
•   Batch Job Scheduling & Monitoring: Manage batch job scheduling via OPC/TWS and use tools like ezScheduler, ezMonitor for tracking and troubleshooting.
•   Database Management: Work with DB2 and PostgreSQL using DBeaver for accessing Postgres tables within the application.
•   Incident & Change Management: Handle incident, problem, and change management via ServiceNow and maintain proper documentation in Confluence.

Requirements

•   Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with PL/I, Cobol, REXX, JCL, and batch job scheduling.
•   Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Mainframe tools like OpenText HostExplorer, SCMS, IBM Developer for z/OS, and Innovator for Information Architects for data model management.
•   ITSM & Documentation: Experience in managing ITSM processes via ServiceNow, documenting in Confluence, and tracking user stories in Jira.
•   Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a DevOps-oriented environment.
•   Nice to have: Experience with our relevant business domain (Automotive industry). Familiarity with IT process frameworks SCRUM, ITIL.
