Backend Developer- Java

Responsibilities

  • Develop MES software for lens manufacturing
  • Implement system functions, controls and algorithms
  • Implement unit tests to achieve reasonable test coverage
  • Work in an agile project run on Azure DevOps
  • Manage deployment of new and changed versions of the solution into edge environments
  • Diagnose issues across running services using MSSQL, MongoDB, Kafka and Docker
  • Create and maintain documentation and training material for owned services
  • Report bugs and resolve them at code level

Mandatory Skills

Mandatory skills

  • Expert programming experience in Java
  • Minimum 3 years developing distributed systems, microservice architecture preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of software design patterns and software resilience patterns
  • Software debugging and monitoring
  • Knowledge of Linux environments
  • Modern IDEs (IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Visual Studio or similar)
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Strong teamwork with a customer and service-oriented working style
  • First experience working in international teams
  • Degree in computer science or business informatics, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 8 years in software development

Must Have

 

    • Software development in Quarkus (preferred) or Java Spring
    • Basic HTML, JavaScript and CSS
    • Advanced Git for source code versioning
    • Enterprise software development experience
