YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an experienced SAP ILM Consultant & Developer to design, implement, and enhance Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solutions focused on data archiving, retention management, GDPR-compliant deletion, compliance, and governance across SAP landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
•    Implement SAP ILM solutions for data archiving, retention management, deletion, compliance, and governance requirements.

•    Configure ILM functionalities including retention rules, policies, legal hold scenarios, and deletion concepts.
•    Develop, customize, and integrate ILM components within existing application and system landscapes.
•    Implement BAdI enhancements, custom extensions, and customer-specific logic to address business and compliance requirements.
•    Support integrations with on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
•    Collaborate closely with consulting, architecture, development, and infrastructure teams.
•    Participate actively in internal communities and competence centers.

 

YOUR PROFILE

 

Required Skills & Experience
•    Several years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
     o    Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)
     o    Data Management / Document Management
     o    Compliance, Data Protection, and GDPR
     o    Data Retention and Deletion Concepts

•    Hands-on experience in:
     o    SAP ILM implementation and configuration
     o    Defining retention periods, policies, and deletion scenarios
     o    BAdI enhancements, customizing, and customer-specific developments
     o    Archiving and compliance-related solutions

•    Strong development skills in at least one or more of:
     o    ABAP
     o    Java
     o    .NET
     o    Python
     o    Comparable programming languages
•    Experience with:
     o    API and interface development (REST, SOAP)
     o    Messaging and integration platforms
     o    System integrations across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid landscapes

•    Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style.

Nice to Have
•    Experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions.
•    Knowledge of migrations, data cleansing, retention strategies, and authorization concepts.
