YOUR ROLE

Would you like to help banks translate regulatory requirements into effective, efficient and future-proof solutions? As a (Senior) Business Analyst KYC/AML at adesso, you will shape the further development of KYC, AML and AFC processes at the intersection of business, regulation, products, data and IT.
Your focus goes beyond interpreting individual requirements. You will analyse how new requirements affect operational business, product areas, customer processes, role models, application systems, interfaces and data landscapes — and derive implementable target operating models and robust decision-making foundations from them.
You will work on diverse client projects across the entire customer lifecycle: from onboarding and identification through the ongoing business relationship, screening and transaction monitoring to suspicious activity reports, offboarding and audit-proof archiving. In doing so, you will combine regulatory expertise with structured business-analysis skills and a strong implementation focus.

YOUR ROLE

>    Regulation with impact: You will monitor and assess requirements arising from EU AML/AMLR, AMLD6, AMLA, the German Anti-Money Laundering Act (GwG), as well as relevant BaFin, FATF and sanctions requirements, and derive specific impacts on the business model, products, processes, controls and organisation.
>    End-to-end processes: You will analyse, model and optimise KYC/AML processes across the customer lifecycle — particularly onboarding, CDD/EDD, UBO identification, PEP and sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reports, reviews and offboarding.
>    Business requirements: You will translate regulatory and business requirements into business concepts, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, rule sets, data requirements and business test cases — clearly, transparently and in a way that IT teams can implement.
>    Impact on products and systems: You will examine which adjustments are required in core banking systems, KYC/onboarding solutions, CRM and process platforms, screening and monitoring systems, case management, regulatory reporting, DWH/data lake environments, and archive and document-management-system solutions.
>    Data and interfaces: You will perform data-point mappings and quality analyses, identify gaps and silos, describe data flows and interfaces, and develop requirements for data models, master data, entity resolution, audit trails and reporting.
>    Process and control framework: You will design roles, responsibilities and handovers across the first, second and third lines of defense, as well as quality gates, deadline management, the four-eyes principle and evidence documentation.
>    Project delivery: You will facilitate workshops, structure work packages, coordinate stakeholders from business units, compliance, legal, operations, data and IT, and support implementation through testing, business sign-off, rollout and stabilization.
>    Communication and consulting: You will prepare complex topics in a way that is tailored to the audience, develop decision papers and present recommendations for action to business and management stakeholders as well as in project and governance committees.
>    Innovation with sound judgement: You will assess the appropriate use of automation and AI — for example for document processing, classification, matching, UBO/relationship analysis or RAG — while considering data quality, traceability, explainability, data protection and human-in-the-loop approaches.
>    Senior responsibility: As a Senior, you will also lead sub-projects or workstreams, steer the team’s business work and actively advance our topics, methods and client relationships.
