YOUR ROLE
- Design and manage AWS infrastructure: You build and operate secure, scalable AWS environments using Terraform, with infrastructure code managed in GitHub.
- Create reusable infrastructure: You develop Terraform modules and patterns for multi-account and multi-environment setups, including remote state and workspaces.
- Build cloud networks: You design and manage VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, VPN connections, Direct Connect and Transit Gateway.
- Provision AWS services: You work with services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Elastic Load Balancing, Auto Scaling, Route 53 and Lambda.
- Automate delivery: You build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, including migrations from AWS CodePipeline.
- Strengthen identity and security: You design IAM roles, policies and federated access, and implement security controls using AWS Organizations, SCPs, KMS, Security Hub, GuardDuty and Config.
- Improve visibility and reliability: You configure monitoring and alerting with CloudWatch and CloudTrail, and help automate patching, backup and disaster recovery.
- Optimize cloud costs: You identify opportunities to reduce spend through rightsizing, Savings Plans, S3 Storage Lens and Cost Explorer.
- Drive continuous improvement: You review architectures, run proofs of concept and recommend practical improvements.
- Work collaboratively: You track delivery in Jira and maintain clear technical documentation in Confluence.
YOUR PROFILE
- AWS experience: You have at least three years of hands-on experience designing, implementing or operating AWS environments.
- Infrastructure as code: You have strong Terraform skills, including modules, remote state and workspaces.
- Automation and delivery: You are confident with GitHub Actions and Git-based development workflows.
- Cloud foundations: You have practical knowledge of AWS networking and IAM, as well as CloudWatch, CloudTrail and AWS Config.
- Scripting: You can automate operational tasks using Python, Bash or PowerShell.
- Systems administration: You have experience administering Linux and Windows servers.
- Certification: You hold an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate certification.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Docker, ECS or EKS
- Knowledge of AWS Control Tower and multi-account landing zones
- Familiarity with Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus or Splunk
- Experience with Ansible
- Exposure to Azure or GCP
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers
- Terraform Associate, AWS Professional or Security Specialty, or ITIL Foundation certification
Certifications
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or SysOps Administrator Associate (mandatory)
- Terraform Associate, AWS Professional or Security Specialty, ITIL Foundation (preferred)
